Container desiccant is a high-capacity moisture absorber, specifically designed to cope with the environment of maritime shipping. It contains hygroscopic material such as calcium chloride which can absorb 300-400% of water vapor of its weight—This capacity exceeds that of standard desiccants. It comes in strong, leak-proof hanging bags with hooks already designed to hang from the lashing points in the container. This will increase airflow around it while also removing “container rain” (condensation that can damage the cargo).
It is a critical component of global logistics and will protect humidity sensitive goods including electronics, machinery, agricultural products, and textiles; so for weeks at a time container desiccant will be protecting your cargo while it crosses the ocean. The unit’s phase change technology traps moisture as a gel inside the bag so there can’t be any leaking out of the bag. This unit has also been fitted for 20ft and 40ft containers and works in extreme temperature conditions (-15°C to 65°C) and low dew points even in tropical conditions. It has been certified fully compliant for use with IMDG and FDA registered commodities; therefore, making it safe to use.
